My Wellness Favorites This Summer

Reading Time: 3 minutes

Hi Friends!

This summer season, I have been taking the time to go within and tap into the cycle of renewal. It is almost as if the sun shines a light on what needs to be improved, repaired, or adjusted, and I am all here for it!

Here are three things I have been loving this summer season:

A good ole Arnold Palmer with a South African Twist

Living in South Florida means summer temperatures average at about 90 degrees minimum. So it’s safe to say that my daily ritual of hot morning tea was not going to cut it this season.

This African Rooibos tea has been my go-to drink all summer! Rooibos is an indigenous herb from South Africa known for its sweet flavor. And what I love about this tea is that it pairs perfectly with lemonade. Contrary to traditional black tea, Rooibos tea embodies a sweet richness within it.  It is also naturally caffeine-free, which means you can drink as much of it at anytime if you are caffeine sensitive like me.

My recipe is quite simple: Steep your Rooibos tea in hot water, add fresh lemon juice and honey, and cool for a perfect match.

Not to mention, this serves as a perfect drink for a round of golf  (hubby approved) and the ideal base for a spiked summer drink. Enjoy!

Learning the Art of Feminine Biohacking

Now, if you’ve been around the wellness space enough, you’ve probably heard of “biohacking” by now. Well, it turns out we women require a much different biohacking strategy!

I love that Alisa Vitti (author of Woman Code) recently released her second book just in time for renewing how we think about our health. I have just started this book and am so excited to use it as a guide for eating, living, and playing during the different times of my cycle to keep my hormones in perfect balance.

Swapping Toast for the Perfect Breakfast Cracker

My body called me to go lighter on my wheat intake this season, and these seed crackers have been the absolute perfect substitution for my morning toast.

These little flats embody a delicious rye bread flavor and are solely made of seeds that are full of Omega 3 fatty acids. They are also naturally gluten-free! I love to pair it with scrambled eggs, avocado, and any other veggies I can find.
