A 2-Hour Winter Playlist

Reading Time: 2 minutes

“Music expresses that which cannot be put into words and that which cannot remain silent.”
― Victor Hugo

This playlist reflects the feelings of a sort of “grungy optimism” that many of us may be feeling at this moment in time.

As the world moves so quickly, it’s easy to get lost in the day-to-day. We are in between where we have been for the past two years and where we want to be. Two years of self-growth, sheer confusion as to where the world is going with this pandemic, and some hopefulness leaves me feeling cautiously optimistic.

If this season brings anything for me, it brings feelings of optimism shrouded with layered feelings, much like the spirit of the Winter season. Because growth is messy and imperfect, and a period of darkness is ultimately necessary to bring out the light.

As always, this playlist leans indie and ambient pop, which gives space for introspective moments with some of my favorite artists. I’ve loved them on afternoon walks and creative moments of solitude.

I hope you will enjoy it as much as I have!
